Gross accent.
Bring back the old MRT announcer!! If you're a regular MRT commuter, you'd realize that they have the changed the station announcer. Omg the new one has a really disgusting local accent. I mean I don't have a problem with our local accent, it's just in our blood to talk among friends in Singlish. But for goodness sake, it's a station announcement for a public transport where you're addressing everyone including foreigners. Imagine what they will think of our English standard when they hear that crappy accented voice?! Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
I say bring back our good ol' announcer... She sounded more solid and formal.
If they don't change now, 10 years down the road.......................
"Ding dong! Next station ar, Eee-Soon."
